Here is my first hand at poems ;) titled euphoric gratitude
Euphoric gratitude
Imploring in silence, I asked the lord in days of yore,
“Oh lord I crave for the toys,
Toys that make up the fairy tale”
Resting in the heavens, the lord wouldn’t pay heed!
Resting in Genuflect, I prayed to the lord when I was 20,
“Oh lord I crave for the knowledge; knowledge that is all encompassing,
And that makes me shine”
But there he was, latent, paying no heed to my yearning!
Beseeching and begging, I approached the almighty,
“Oh Lord, Grant me a love, the love of my life”
But he seemed riled and vexed,
Leaving me bereft!
And then I descried the ultimate reality.
When I would for no grounds or all grounds thank the almighty,
Without being distrait to what I actually possess
The everlasting euphoria dawned upon me.
That makes me say to the Lord in encore
“I thank Thee for everything!”
